US Travel Requirements
For International travelers to enter the United States you must apply for authorisation online by completing an ESTA application https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov/. ESTA is the US Department of Homeland Security’s Electronic System for Travel Authorisation and is basically a Visa Waiver. It requires you and all those travelling with you to provide personal and passport information, travel arrangements and the answers to 7 security questions. This must be completed 72 hours before your departure.
Whether your application is approved or not it will not guarantee your entry into the United States, as you will still have to go through Customs upon arrival.
